ABOUT DAY OF HOPE

SoCal Day of Hope a faith based collaboration birthed out of the Santa Ana Convoy of HOPE 2013 outreach. With the collective efforts of 18 churches, 35 community service agencies, numerous businesses and 700 volunteers over 2,100 people were reached. From this great success launched the SoCal Day of HOPE, a regional collaborative outreach intended to bring HOPE to the communities of southern California. SoCal Day of HOPE is one outreach conducted simultaneously at multiple locations. We currently hold the outreach between two venues with the involvement of five counties. Our goal is to eventually have a venue in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego counties. Currently the SoCal Day of HOPE is being held at Orange and Riverside county venues.

The outreach is design to serve those in need including struggling families, single parents, homeless, unemployed, vets and the underprivileged. The services provided at each venue is based upon resources available through the participating organizations and donations. While this normally is a one day annual event the connection made to the community/health service programs and the local churches will last way beyond to bring continued support and relationship with those we serve.

The SoCal Day of Hope will activate approximately 1,000 volunteers who will give our guests a day of “hope” as they are welcomed into a loving, caring environment that will provide:

• Free on Site Meals
• Free Haircuts
• Free Family Portraits
• Community Service /Educational Helps
• Free Entertainment for the Entire Family
• FREE GROCERIES
• Health Screening
• Free “Kid’s Zone”
• Spiritual Support
